Pistol – HFT
Open to all UK legal pistols and shot in three classifications
- Iron sights
- Red dot sights (not laser)
- Telescopic (Max. 4 x magnification)
15 targets shot three times each. 40mm hit zones at distances from 10 -25 yards.
Vintage and Classic including Bell Target and Vintage 10 yard
Open to UK legal unmodified spring air rifles with original open or dioptre sights and shot in 4 classifications.

- Vintage (Pre 1939) freestyle
- Classic 1940 to 1960
- Classic 1961 to 1990
- Semi recoiling pre 1986
25 targets shot once each. 40mm hit zones at distances from 10 -35 yards.
Rifle – HFT
Open to all UK legal air rifles and shot in four classifications
- Juniors Aged 16 and under
- open Pre-charged Pneumatic
- .22 (recoiling or PCP)
30 targets shot once each. Hit zones from 15mm to 40mm at distances from 8 -45 yards. The course is generally set as near as possible to but not in compliance with UKHFT rules.
Supported Rifle and FT Extreme
Open to all UK legal air rifles and shot in three classifications
- Supported Pre charged Pneumatic
- Supported Springer
- FT Rigs
25 tiny targets set at distances from 10 to 65 yards. The Supported category scoring 2 points for a white and 3 points for a black or golden target. FT Extreme the scoring is the normal FT with 1 for a hit and zero for a miss. FT will not be able to use additional rests or supports. We group the FT shooters together so there will be no advantage to Supported shooters from cribbing the distance.
IPAS (Iron Plate Action Shooting)
Open to all UK legal Multi-shot CO2 & Gas Blowback (GBB) / Non-Gas Blowback Pistols
Min 5 shot magazines – 4.5mm Pellet, 4.5mm Lead BB, 6mm plastic BB (no steel pellets or BBs permitted)
Shot in 2 classifications
- Standard (fixed/iron sights)
- Open (red-dot sights)
