Supported Rifle Competition Rules

Entry- Free to all members and visitors.
Classes: PCP OR RECOILING – AWARDS TO THIRD PLACE.
SUPPORTED–
Any combination of Legal rifle/scope can be used; Separate range finders may not be used at any time. Scopes can be adjusted once for distance, magnification and hold-over at each target before putting scope to eye.
POSITIONS–
Any safe position may be used. The muzzle must be over the firing line and the trigger behind the line, The rifle must not be more than one foot from either side of peg when the shot is taken.
SUPPORTED RIFLE–
Rifles may be supported by bipods, tripods, bean bags or boxes etc as long as the support is in front of the trigger guard. The rifle butt must be in the shoulder and not supported or rested on the ground either directly or indirectly. Slings maybe used.
TARGETS & SCORING SUPPORTED–
25 targets Maximum of 65yds and a Minimum of 10yds.Approx. Formulae for max target distance will be maximum circular diameter of kill zone in millimetres=yards plus 25yds (i.e.12mm diameter kill zone=12yds+25yds Max distance=37yds).
There could be more than one target on the peg
- White targets are 2 points for knockdown 1 point for a plate, coloured targets are 3 points for a knockdown 1 for a plate, no points for a miss.
- If the triple target is used then if you knock the first target down you can reset for another shot the
scoring is, Target 1 =5, Target 2=10 and Target 3=15 points must be shot in sequence. - Bonus bunny whatever colour 3 points for a knockdown 1 point for a plate no points for a miss
Total maximum score=50.
COURSE OF FIRE–
- One shot to be taken at each target
- Targets to be shot in numerical order.
- Next target not to be taken from previous peg.
- There is to be no “Practice” shots to be taken at any target before or after your official shot, Failure to follow this rule will incur the loss of that target or the following one whichever counts highest.

Shooting at the wrong target will count as a miss
In the event of a dispute the marshal’s decision is final
AWARDS
Bonus bunny £5.00 carried over if not won if more than one gets the bunny then it’s a card draw.
Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in PCP and Recoiling, given out the following week.
